AwesomeCon 2024

This last week, thanks to the amazing folks at Labyrinth Games & Puzzles, we had the chance to experience the glorious nerdvana that is Awesome Con 2024 in Washington D.C.!

The energy was pumping in the Convention Center. Lots of amazing cosplayers roamed the halls, MK, Labyrinth, Stormtroopers and Lord Vaders. I literally shook with excitement upon seeing a working Droid roll up to me and whistle.

The vendor hall was a treasure trove. Tons of amazing art, custom minifigs, 3D prints, there was something for every fan. I may have walked away with a few too many Legos (if that’s possible).

The highlight of my weekend was definitely getting to meet with a bunch of Tabletop RPG and board game designers and developers. This was possible thanks to our friends at Labyrinth Games & Puzzles who were hosting the Tabletop Gaming section at the Con. Last year was their first year running that section and it was so popular they had to expand and add more tables. This year, they had 400 tables with a massive game library, teachers to run people through how to play every single one, live sessions with local game designers, and more. Incredibly they ran out of table space every single day.

We got to hear about upcoming releases, the design process behind some of our favorite games, and even better, we got to interview some incredible people for the channel.

A huge shoutout to Labyrinth Games & Puzzles for making this incredible experience possible. It was fantastic to be surrounded by such a supportive and enthusiastic community. If you're in the D.C. area, definitely check them out – they're not just a store, they're a hub for local gamers and host almost daily gaming events, competitions, game nights and more!

Overall, Awesome Con 2024 in a word…Awesome. We captured so much content and some terrific interviews about existing and up-coming yet to be released games! Can’t wait to show you lots more!
